WANTO 6^th Year Grant—Awarded September 1999

The Resource Center for Women (RCW) will provide technical assistance to six (6) Information Technology (IT) employers and the state designated Enterprise Community in Pinellas County, FL. RCW will develop a model program that can be replicated with IT employers across Florida. An important focus of RCW's technical assistance to employers will be its strategy development with employers to hire and retain women with disabilities in IT workplaces, including providing women with disabilities with assistive technology software.

RCW has been a major resource as a counseling education, and employment center in meeting the special needs of women, including women with disabilities, on Florida's West Coast since 1977.
